These have been a difficult few months and the next few don't look promising. These pieces were made in response to that. They are meant to sit with you.
These meditations were both experimental and therapeutic. For the first time, I incorporated sampling live sounds, using samples like the sounds of Saturn as recorded by the Cassini probe, overdubbing, and playing the Arturia Microfreak live while the VCV Rack modular played its patch.
Each piece is named after a Buddhist concept or a Zen koan.A Thousand Hands a Thousand Eyes is how a Bodhisattva is often depicted. While this may look strange to some, it is a means of depicting the heart of the Bodhisattva to see suffering wherever it may be and have a free hand to end it. There are four Nobel Truths in Buddhism that point the way to the Dharma.
